SUMMARY
Each phase of my career was a step in learning about water utilities. I have been blessed since day one to experience many wonderful and kind people of Texas.. I have never forgotten my first day working at Southern Montgomery MUD. I was given a rainsuit, boots, and a two-foot shovel. Told to go to the bottom of a manhole that was about to be put into service. A bucket and rope lowered down to me. I was instructed to shovel the sand into the bucket to make sure the sewer line would operate correctly once cleaned. I looked up and said to God, “This is why you brought me to Texas?” “You know I have a college education.” “I came to Texas to get rich in the oil field and you put me in sewage!” Now I have a business and serve a major oil and gas company, serve the Army Corps of Engineers, and own a water system in the Dallas area. I am hoping that retirement isn’t too far away.
