NAMI SOUTHERN

Nami Southern and her husband have resided in The Woodlands since 2020. They raised two girls while living in Texas, Louisiana and Indonesia. As a homeowner and community volunteer she is committed to reliable water service and long-term infrastructure.
Work Experience
- Retired from Chevron where she worked in engineering and technical roles supporting oil fields around the world
- Worked on multi million dollars projects, overseeing initiatives from planning through execution.
- Experience conducting project economic evaluations and identifying the most effective alternatives
Community Involvement
- Active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, served as a scholarship chair, education committee chair, awards and nomination chair and continuing education chair for the past twenty-two years.
- National Charity League (NCL) – volunteered over 200 community service hours with her two daughters, over the past 6 years (Children’s Museum, Abundant Harvest, etc)
- Board Member for the Academy of Science and Technology at College Park
- Volunteer to judge high school science fairs organized by EFTA/CISD
